Farah Khan visited Shailesh Lodha with Dilip and enjoyed Nargis kofta
Farah Khan stopped by Shailesh Lodha‘s home for her YouTube channel, which focuses on light-hearted gossip, plenty of fun, and food. She arrived at his residence accompanied by her chef Dilip. Shailesh is known as the star of Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma and is a writer, poet, comedian, and actor. He has named his home “Ajari,” which translates to “mentor” or “teacher.” Upon entering the room, Farah jokingly declined to look at her reflection in a large mirror. Shailesh also has a statue of Maa Saraswati, whom he credits for his success as a poet. They meet his wife, Swati Lodha, who is an educator and social entrepreneur. When Farah Khan visited Shailesh, she inquired about the age he began writing, to which Shailesh replied that he started at 11 years old. Farah reminisced about their meeting at the comedy circus show in 2000. Farah encouraged Shailesh to recite a poem for them, and Shailesh humorously remarked that he charges for reciting poems. Farah laughed and replied that she would provide plenty of gifts instead, so Shailesh then recited a lovely poem about how rural people manage to enjoy life despite all challenges. He said Apara Mehta was his teammate those days , then he did a series of “Wah Wah” “Wah bhai Wah” almost1500episodes in different chanels. He first got break by Adhikari brothers specially Markand Adhikari who met him in a live performing show and offered him the “Wah Wah”show.
They then proceeded to the library, where we noticed a wall clock featuring Swati’s face. Farah commented that both the good and bad times are linked to one’s spouse, to which Swati replied with a short remark that their problem lies with her, yet she is also the solution. After that, they entered the projector room, which was painted red and adorned with all their awards as a display of their achievements. Next, they headed to the kitchen where Dilip had made potato and onion fries; everyone tasted them and praised him. Following this, Swati and Farah began to prepare Nargis Kofta, so named because when they cut it in half, it resembles the Nargis flower, as Shailesh explained.
They began making Nargis kofta using boiled potatoes and boiled turnips, frying them with a mixture of onions, chili, and ginger paste along with some essential spices, and finally adding amchur powder and fresh coriander leaves. Then, to cool it down, Dilip shapes the mixture into small balls, dips them in a blend of maida and cornflour, rolls them in breadcrumbs, and fries them. At Farah’s request, Shailesh quickly recites a poem about the kitchen, highlighting how this space belongs to mothers and is filled with love for all family members.
In the end, everyone relished the Nargis Kofta, which, upon being cut open, revealed a red interior reminiscent of the Nargis flower.
